Count To Four is a Pop Punk band from Barrington, New Jersey, that formed in 2010. Check these guys out here http://www.facebook.com/#!/counttofour/info. I got the pleasure to interview them.
TTEC: How was the recording process for the new tunes?
CTF: We did 3 months of writing on and off while touring, and then spent a straight month in Pete's home studio tracking demos to get rough ideas on how the songs we'd been working on would eventually come together. We eventually went and tracked at 37 Studios (for the 2nd time) in Detroit with Matt Dalton, who's worked with a lot of signed acts like Craig Owens, I See Stars, These Hearts, etc. Having done all the preproduction ourselves, it gave us way more time to work with tones, variations of riffs, and just the overall sound of the record.
TTEC:Who are you're influences?
CTF:We all grew up loving pop punk, learning how to play guitar on blink-182 songs. Fall Out Boy, Jimmy Eat World, Rufio, New Found Glory, the Startling Line...these were all bands that shaped our musical tastes. Nowadays we all branch out to artists of all genres for influences. If we're talking favorites, it'd go something like this:

Neale: mewithoutyou
Pete: Pierce the Veil
Jay: It Prevails
Mike: Jimmy Eat World
TTEC: What is you're favorite and least favorite thing about being in a band?
CTF:By far the favorite thing is touring the country, seeing the sights, playing music for a living. There is nothing more rewarding. And the least favorite would probably be the fact that we eat McDonalds nearly everyday.
TTEC:How has the tour been with "Battleghost"? When did it start? and When does it end?
TTEC:How has the tour been with "Battleghost"? When did it start? and When does it end?
CTF: Battleghost are great guys. They have a really good pop-punk sound, and they're good live. And the guys in that band are all fabulous people who are fun to be around, it's really been a good run so far, and we're only a week in on this tour.
TTEC:Whats next for you guys after this tour is over?
CTF: After this tour we will be shooting a music video for our first single off of our upcoming album. Then we hit the road again for another month or so in March, by which time we will probably be releasing the record.
TTEC: Anything else you want to share with everyone?
CTF: Neale really likes guys. Long live the death star.
