Interview : Pop-Punk Band From Netherlands "New Year's Hero"

Three Piece Pop-Punk Band New Year’s Hero from The Hague Netherlands. The band consists of Jurre as vocal/Guitar Koen as Bass/vocal and Rogier as The Drummer. To know more about them check out our Q&A Below.

TTEC: How has the feedback been on your first EP “Friends Like These”?

NY’sH: The Feedback on “Friends Like These” has been great! We have been getting a great amount of Media attention and after the release of the EP we noticed more people getting interested and us playing more shows. To have music online is definitely a necessary thing, otherwise people have no idea what they are looking at.

TTEC: You released a Music Video for “Try Again” how was its feedback and are there any plans for other music video?

NY’sH: We are actually amazed how a music video can do! People do Listen to your music, but a lot of people really want to have a look at something too! On the first few days the video received lots of view on YouTube and it was picked up by well known music sites as well. We definitely got new fans from it!

TTEC: How you guys come up with the name “New Year’s Hero”?

NY’sH: our Drummer, Rogier, was born on the first of January, New year’s Day! He is a legit super hero, that’s why we are called New Year’s Hero!

TTEC: So who are some of your influences?

NY’sH: we are mainly influenced by the American Pop-Punk hero’s in Blink-182. We love the music, their weird jokes and great performance on stage. They are true inspirations for us.

TTEC: What are your plans for future? Coming up with new material?

NY’sH: we are currently playing many shows and writing new songs. We do want to come up with new songs ,new music that will probably be somewhere next year. We also want to extend our area by playing shows and touring through our Country, The Netherland.

TTEC: Anything else you dude want to share with us?
