Broadside is a Pop Punk band from Richmond, Virgina, that formed in 2010. If you want to give them a listen here is the link to their facebook http://www.facebook.com/mobileprotection#!/broadsideva/info. I got the pleasure to interview them.
TTEC: Who are you're influences?
Broadside: We all take from individual influences but I guess as a band we are influenced by the old era of pop punk IE: Drive Thru Record days with New Found Glory, The Movielife, The Early November, Senses Fail etc.
TTEC: Any tours going on right now? If so with who? If not do you have any coming up and with who?
Broadside: We just got off a short run a couple ago and we are busy writing new material currently. We plan on doing some pretty big tours in the near future.
TTEC: How has the feedback been on "Far From Home"?
Broadside: Kids have been pretty receptive to "Far From Home", it is just an honest record about the things we went through in the past.
TTEC: Have you guys started writing new jams?
Broadsidde: We have been busy writing some new songs after going through member changes. We couldnt more stoked to get in the studio to release the new stuff.
TTEC: What is you're favorite and least favorite thing about being in a band?
Broadside: Our favorite thing is to be able to travel, meet new people, hear new bands, eat good food. Our least favorite thing is being away from family and friends.
TTEC: I think Virgina has a pretty good scene but what do you guys think of it?
Broadside: It has a great music scene but it is such a tight knit community to break through in.
TTEC: Anything else you want to share with everyone?
Broadside: Thank you to anyone who has supported us since day 1. We have gone through our ups and downs just like any other band and truly appreciate all of the support. Thank you!!!
