Last Day Before Holiday Interview

Last Day Before Holiday is a Pop Punk band from Alessandria, Italy, that formed in 2008. Check out their album "The Way Out" on their facebook http://www.facebook.com/mobileprotection#!/pages/Last-Day-Before-Holiday/44032022316?sk=info. I got the pleasure to interview them.

TTEC:How has the feedback been on "The Way Out"?

LDBH:Hi Guys, so the Way Out Feedback was amazing, It's a really important album for us. We wrote this album in a very strange period, we toured a little bit and this helped us to see all the things clearly and we decided to put everything in the album. For us is a concept album with very important lyrics: we just felt trapped inside our town and our country and we wanted to share our feelings with fans. It turned out to be really appreciated from our fans and from the people that didn't know LDBH before.

TTEC:So I see you guys just got done with a russian tour , How was that? Was it you're first time in Russia? Who did you guys tour with?

LDBH:Russia is amazing! It's our third time there and this time it was really awesome. People going at the shows are something special. Everybody goes to the show to mosh and dance like crazy, we really love Russian people. We made a headlining tour to promote The Way Out with our friends Dance! no thanks.

TTEC:What is you're favorite thing about being in a band and least favorite thing about being in a band?

LDBH:The best thing for us is that our band is our family and we can say what we think about our lives in our songs. The worst thing is being a pop-punk band in Italy, because this country gives no opportunities to musicians making good music, who want to do it for a living, just because the music scene here is so mentally closed and you are accepted only if you do what they want

TTEC: How did you guys come up with the name "Last Day Before Holiday"?

LDBH:We decided to choose this name 'cause our first practice together was the last day before the easter holidays.

TTEC:Who are some of you're influences?

LDBH:We have a lot of different influences. We listen to a lot of Pop-Punk and Hardcore music. We love bands like Hit The Lights, New Found Glory, Blink 182 and Four Year Strong, but we also love hardcore music band like Expire, Terror, Fire and Ice that's why me (Pier) and Danil we decided to make an Hardcore side-project called Jungle Fever.

TTEC: Anything else you dudes want to share with everyone?

LDBH:
Yes, we want to say a big THANK YOU to all the fans and friends that are supporting our music, cause they are the only reason why we are holding on, playing and recording in a country like Italy, where there’s no space for independent music.
By the way, Our album THE WAY OUT is on sale in the States on Interpunk.com, so grab a copy!
