TTEC Interview: Sorakujira from emily,Crosby and Ironton,MN

Sorakujira is a band from Emily, Crosby and Ironton, MN that formed around January 2011.They’ve been bringing their hardcore, high energy, electronic inspired heavy pop punk music to the far edges of Minnesota and beyond. the Band consists of Ben Drake, Jesse Drake, James Dotzler, Jon Roring. Know More about them with some Q&A we had.

TTEC-   How u Came Up with your Name "Sorakujira"?

Sorakujira- Well Jesse thought of it because it was a yoyo team out in japan and we thought it fit since we are a bit out there anyway.

TTEC- How you Band came up with such Genre Hardcore,Pop-Punk,Electronic?

Sorakujira- And the genre was just a big mix of influences James has alot of punk, ben is a-lot of electronics and metal is Jesse and Jon,

TTEC-  So how has the feedback been on "The Art of Failure (and Everything Undiscovered)".

Sorakujira- Alot of people seemed to love the album and we're actually working on a new album.

TTEC- According to your Last.fm Biography on 2011 you people played a show by accident...so any show after that?

Sorakujira-  The show was a show ben was putting on and it was just going to be him and his brother (jesse) and the show was opening up for these hearts and James called up ben the day before the show and said "hey can I play bass for the show tomorrow?"ben asked do you know any of the songs? and James replied"no. But I'm sure I'll have the list." so we played it went great and we decided to take it more seriously from there.

TTEC- So who are your influences..?

Sorakujira- As for influences green day, relient k, owl city, a day to remember, sum 41, oh, seeper, a plea for purging, and so many more.
