I got the pleasure to Interview them, check below the Q/A which i had with States Away  mates.

TTEC : How u Came Up with your Name "States Away"?

There is no real official story of how we choose the name States Away, other than our merch guy Josh thought it would be a good fit, and we liked it better than the other name ideas we had, and it stuck.

TTEC : How has the feedback been on your first EP  "Like the Weather"?

The feedback for Like The Weather has been great! We felt we really found our sound with this record, and people who have listened
have been really positive with what they've been saying. We're glad we can write songs that other people can connect and relate to.

TTEC : Any Plan for a Music Video?

We've tossed a few ideas around, and eventually we'll have an official video out, but in the mean time we'll focus more on acoustic and lyric videos.

TTEC: So who are your influences?

We're pretty much fans of everything from old school punk/hardcore to radio pop, but for our music we're big fans of The Story So Far, Citizen, The Wonder Years, Turnover, The American Scene.

TTEC:  How did you guys form?

We'd been friends for awhile, and had played in a few different bands each but never together. Cody and I (geoff) wanted to write some music together, and soon added our bassist Michael and singer Corey when it came time
to record our debut self titled EP. We recenetly added a new drummer, Colin, who we knew from playing in a local band and brought him on to play with us.

TTEC: What is your Favorite and least favorite thing about being in a Band?

Favorite things are writing and recording, and the time we get to spend together just hanging out while together. We're a very close group of friends.
Worst thing is always dealing with the struggles every band has with dealing with traveling issues and money issues.

TTEC: Are You guys on tour and \if so with who?if not do you have any coming up and with who?

We're currently working on our summer tours now, but we can't say who exactly we'll be going out with yet. We'll be playing a lot around the midwest and east coast this summer though.

TTEC:  Anything else you want to share with everyone?

Just a quick thanks to anyone who has come out to a show, or listened to our music, we really appreciate it. Also, we want to say hi to our Dads.
